Teresa Parodi albums Best known for her vocal work with tango legend Astor Piazzolla, this singer/songwriter/guitarist is among the most decorated musicians in her native Argentina; in 1995, for example, she was voted Best Composer of the Decade. This 20 tune set features such lovely ballads as "Abuela Emelia" and "Pesar De Sus Anos."
Argentinean singer/songwriter Teresa Parodi got involved in music when studying singing and taking guitar lessons at the age of nine, soon after participating in different local festivals and becoming a backup singer for Astor Piazzolla. Later, Teresa Parodi started her solo career, performing at small venues in Buenos Aires and recording 1983's Canto A Los Hombres Del Pan Duro, adding music to the work of prominent poets such as Jorge Luis Borges and Jorge Calvetti. In 1986, the artist had the chance to perform along with Pablo Milanes at Luna Park Stadium, two years later touring the U.S. and Europe for the first time.
