||100% Wicked CD (2001) |
Something Wicked is Craig Otto (bass), Bobby C. (vocals), Tracey (guitar), Beau Vann (guitar), and Taz (drums).
Unfortunately after almost 12 years together Something Wicked has parted ways, and this CD is the last music that they recorded together. With so much time invested into something that you've believed in so much it's absolutely devasting when a break up like this occurs. It's extremely unfortunate that we never reached the goals that we set for ourselves as a band, but that just seems to be the way that it works in the music business. Along the way we had a lot of great times, and this CD by far contains THE BEST songs that we wrote together as a band. Take a listen to the audio samples and pick up a copy for yourself. Good luck to all of the other Independent bands out there, and to all of my former bandmates in Something Wicked. I'll always have great memories of everything that we were able to accomplish together as a band. Keep It WICKED !!! *****************
From day one Something Wicked wrote and performed all of their own material, allowing them to craft their songwriting skills along the way.
Many have compared them to early Megadeth, Skid Row, and Ugly Kid Joe with a more modern Godsmack like sound.
Drawing from their influences of Kiss, AeroSmith, Armored Saint, Alice Cooper, The Ramones and Black Sabbath to name but a few, Something Wicked has been able to develop their own distinct signature sound.
Along the way the members of Something Wicked opened for such bands as: Dokken, Ratt, Metal Church, Spread Eagle, Crimson Glory, King Diamond, Jackyl, & Union just to name a few.
They have also performed live on radio station WRZX, and received radio airplay on WNAP (93.
1), WEDJ (Rock 107), WFBQ (Q95)with Bod & Tom, Radio Querfunk (104.
6 Germany), and numerous Internet radio stations.
To their credit Something Wicked managed to stay true to themselves and their music, while continuing forward with all of the original members together.
While their integrity was probably their strongest attribute, their desire to succeed came in a close second.
Once you saw Something Wicked live you instantly saw this desire pour out of them on stage, as they consistently put on one of the most energetic shows around.
The chemistry between the members of Something Wicked was obvious on stage.
That chemistry together brought Something Wicked several awards including Best Live Band, Best Vocalist, Best Metal CD, and Best Metal Song.
At the 2001 JPFolks Music Awards Something Wicked took home the top honors for BEST METAL CD for the 2nd year in a row for their CD release "100% Wicked".
Something Wicked was also a finalist in the 10th Annual L.A. music awards, and just recently their song "Black Roses" was licensed by MTV for use in their show Undressed.
The new material has gotten great press, and response from media and fans alike, and saw radio airplay on WRZX (X103), WFBQ (Q95), and one of Germany's big 5 radio stations, along with countless Internet Stations.
If you still like your Rock 'n Roll with melody, power, soul, & some crunch you're sure to dig "100% Wicked" ...
