Salsa, Sweat And Soul CD (2000)
Xiomara CD discography A bright collection of Latin soul and Afro-Cuban jazz, Salsa, Sweat and Soul is a good overview of contemporary salsa stylings by a broad range of performers. A fiery instrumental version of James Brown's "Sex Machine" performed by Pucho and his Latin Soul Brothers and "Cogele El Gusto" by Wayne Gorbea & Salsa Picante stand out as instant party numbers, while the breathy "Belleza" (courtesy of Xiomara Laugart) represents the mellower side of the genre. Altogether, Salsa, Sweat and Soul is a worthwhile introduction to some of the bigger names in salsa. ~ Zac Johnson
Jimmy Bosch,Wayne Corbea & Sal Sa Picante,Son De La Loma
