Greatest Hits Live, Pt. 1 is a straightforward reissue of the first volume of the 1997 King Biscuit Flower Hour CD, itself the long awaited official debut of one of Renaissance's most legendary (and oft bootlegged) performances. Recorded for broadcast at London's Royal Albert Hall on October 14, 1977, the show caught Renaissance teaming up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Harry Rabinowitz at a time when their commercial stock was probably at its peak.
