Annunaki CD (2007)
Annunaki albums THE Artist -
In short, the music of The Artist is a product of black-metalers gone acoustic. Both members have extensive classical backgrounds with their instruments and listened to a hell of a lot of metal growing up... and still do. Sweeping through listeners' ears like a wave of "What the hell is this?" is the current effect of their music on the scene, ultimately followed by an open welcome from their audience. Though the project has so far remained acoustic, Matthew and Natt are tailoring their music to suit the placement of a drummer and a cellist for to get loud one day. Together they harmoniously weave an aural tapestry of classical, medieval, jazz, progressive, and black metal-induced melodies. Though their presence is naturally dark, their music is warm and melodic, luring listeners of many kinds.
As the January, 2007 issue of Southeast Performer Magazine says:
"Part medieval and part stream-of-consciousness jazz, Atlanta's The Artist stir up haunting yet beautiful melodies on their new self-titled CD. With constant time signature changes and sweeping crescendos, The Artist's abilities as musicians shine!."
AND
"The crispness of the only two instruments on the CD, guitar and piano, adds an organic quality to the songs - as if the musicians were playing live in front of you. The lack of studio polish and magic by engineer Ken Ferrara allows the members of The Artist to infiltrate your ears with their own mysticism, rather than that of a compressor channel or delay track.
The Artist should be proud..." -Chris Parizo, Southeast Performer
As a fellow Atlanta artist puts it:
"There is no other group that is doing music this complicated, yet modern and interesting. Imagine classical goth with Tori Amos, Acid Bath, and Nirvana covers. Matt and Natt are amazing!" -Matt Greenia, guitarist for The Judies

Throne of the Annunaki CD (2009)
Annunaki music CDs The only fitting phrase that can be used to describe the audio assault that is unleashed from this Bayonne, New Jersey dwelling quartet is "extreme metal". Artist's debut release, "Throne of the Artist", proves this in every way possible. Recorded with Eric Kvortek at Trax East Studios (God Forbid, Symphony X, Sinai Beach) and mastered at West-West Side Music with Alan Douches (Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Krisiun, Nile), the relentless aggression that the band conjured and crafted is compiled and dispersed among thirteen tracks. A vicious onslaught from start to finish, "Throne of the Artist" takes metal to every extreme. Compromising nothing and ignoring the boundaries of the metal subgenres, Artist extends beyond, delivering an intense blackened death-thrash assault.
