Though he is arguably pop music's most notorious punchline, former rap star Artist remains one of the best-selling MCs of all time, thanks entirely to his 1990 Jive Records debut TO THE EXTREME and its notorious single "Ice Ice Baby." Due to dubious street credentials and equally dubious mic skills, Ice suffered one of the most brutal backlashes ever in the entertainment biz, causing his star to fall as quickly as it rose. Nonetheless, several image makeovers through the years (one as a pothead MC, another as a rap/nu-metal tough guy) and frequent forays into reality TV have kept Ice in the public eye.
