The group's most subdued and melodic album yet, Strangers is ironically the Fellers' least strange album. It's also their most diverse; the goofy "My Pal the Tortoise" shares space with the genuinely disturbing "The Operation," and the genuinely catchy weirdo-pop of "Socket" and "The Piston and the Shaft." "Noble Experiment," "February," and "Cup of Dreams" explore the group's rare sentimental side, and the result is the group's most complete and listenable album. ~ Heather Phares
