Rodes is back with his Sophmore offering "Self Preservation". This is the follow up to the street classic "The Huntside"( cdbaby /huntside). On this album Rodes pretty much goes for dolo with the exception of the bonus track Infamous Shots & Hit'em which features Moet & Trilla of AMN. The album is filled with reality rap songs, hip-hop, classic street tales and much more. As far as production Rodes teams up with The 7th Son, Lit'ature of the Shock Squadron, Haz, Buffet Boy, and Lawrence Mahone. The producers provide enough fire to keep this album a blaze. With this type of production it wasn't hard to make good joints. I made the music for me 1st because I am my worst critic, but at the same time I wasn't trying do the same things that is being done in the industry.
