Amy B albums Toronto's Adam Cassidy and his band the Beggarz have a penchant for Rolling Stones-style blues-rock. Days Come Easy can be both alternately rollicking (the title track) and swampy ("Ain't It the Truth"), but the songs never reach the foot-stomping heights of Supergrass' update on the Stones -- their self-titled third album -- nor the gritty grind of the White Stripes. Overall, the Beggarz give Days Come Easy a bit of a bar band sheen. Still, the songwriting is solid, from the dark road tune "Take It out on Me" to the Exile on Main St.-esque "Janine," and what the Beggarz really need is a producer who can do their rootsy groove justice with a sound that is ...
