Cowboy Up CD (2004)
She received her first standing ovation at the age of four, performing in a parade and singing "Take Me Home Country Roads". She says that was the day she was bit by the "Entertaining Bug". She began singing on a stage her father made out of an old stump in her mother's flower garden and by the time she was fourteen, she was playing seven different instruments.
At twenty, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and toured as lead singer of the Air Force Rock Band "Final Approach". During her career in the USAF, Kellene performed alongside many well known artists and even did a command performance for President Ronald Reagan.
Kellene has since recorded four albums projects. Her first project, "Whispering Hope" won critical acclaim and was awarded California's Album Of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year. In 2000, Kellene co-produced her second album along with Steven Sharp. California again rewarded her with Female Vocalist Of The Year, Entertainer Of The Year, Song and Gospel Song Of The Year.
Kellene credits her album's success to the studio musicians who recorded with her. Recording at the home of the "Bakersfield Sound" in Bakersfield, California, she worked alongside the musicians that make up the world famous "Buckaroos" and the legendary "Jordanaires". The album was finished by Grammy Award winners Randy Sharp and Maia Sharp.
Kellene's songs are mostly stories about her life and her family. The title track "Whispering Hope" is the true story of the life of her Grandparents, while "The Gift" was written about her feelings about her two sons. "Taken For A Fool" and "I Cry" are reflections of a messy divorce, while "Cowboy Up" is a just a rockin' Honky Tonk song.
"Cowboy Up", Kellene's first single released through Stardust Records of Nashville, has risen to the top of many charts, and has spent two weeks at #1 on Soundclick . She has recently been nemaed as one of the Top 100 acts in Europe (#16) as well as being named one of the most promising 25 unsigned artists.
Kellene lives aboard Naval Air Station in Lemoore, California with her husband and two boys. Kellene continues to write and record and perform in Central California. Kellene is also an author and has recently completed her second novel.
