Leavers music CDs The songs on "Once Upon A Time..." were written mainly by lead singer/songwriter Steven Ray Will during his first year of sobriety after a lifelong battle with drug and alcohol addiction. The songs were then arranged and streamlined on stage during the band's weekly residency at The Saxon Pub, (one of the most well respected listening rooms in the country) where they have shared the stage with Bob Schneider every Monday for nearly two years. Before coming together as The Leavers, the band's members had been first call sidemen for a who's who of Austin's finest and most important Americana artists. Leavers CD discography This album was a collaborative effort by members of a grassroots not-for-profit organization called the Ivywood Collective. The Collective's mission is to improve the quality of life in the community through idea sharing, cooperation, music, and art. The two bands featured on this record are Rockinwood and The Leavers who came together to record all the tracks in two days with the help of the Collective. Both bands are from Athens, Ga. and share members Mike Walliser(guitar) and Owen Hunt(vocals). Other members of the Leavers are: James Cowart, guitar; Eric Dawson, drums; and Jeremy Beck, drums; while Rockinwood's lineup is rounded out by Danny Coulter, acoustic punk rock guitar; Whit Hawkins, bass; T.J.
