Tarentum music CDs TARENTUMa€˜Astonishing’ - Sandman Magazinea€˜Spine tingling’ — MetroWe began making music together while at university. We both hail from classical backgrounds, Jesse a pianist and Tom primarily a violinist (though he now plays several instruments including the bass and piano). Early work consisted mainly of house music though tunes were always built around songs with strong melodies. This philosophy, of combining aspects of dance music with songs that wouldn’t feel out of place at on a folk singer’s set list, is still a central theme of our work today. The album, a€˜I dreamt we were bank robbers’, from which this demo is taken, is a departure from past work in that it contains more down tempo, thoughtful material.
