Are You There God? It's Me, Tennis Pro CD (2008)
"Are You There God? It's Me, Tennis Pro" (self-released) is the third offering in five years from Seattle indie power-pop trio Tennis Pro. The collection of tongue-in-cheek melodic and anarchic pop songs include a denigration of indie-rock pretentiousness (College Math), an overwrought ballad about the neighbor who tends her yard all day (Kimberly), a rebuke of all things Spring Break ("Girl, take your small shorts and pack 'em"), a teenage fantasy about getting an uptight girl stoned (Shelly Gets High), and a diatribe against Canada ("Don't need to learn French to know/ I'm eating Cheerios").

Happy Is the New Sad CD (2004)
Tennis Pro music CDs SUMMER IS HERE!
With a head-turning indie debut, Tennis Pro shines much-needed sunshine across an otherwise soggy musical landscape
The album title says it all: Happy is the New Sad.
Tennis Pro is writing a new chapter in Seattle's musical legacy with hand-clap choruses, Beach Boy harmonies, and the occasional new wave synth. Sure to inspire the rolling down of car windows while cruising the streets in your dad's camaro, Happy is the New Sad cultivates the best elements of The Ramones' punk simplicity and Fountains of Wayne's wry pop: ravenous guitars, pounding drums, and a sassy yet strangely poignant tongue-in-cheek take on American life.
Tunes like "Camping With A Girl" and "The Mix Tape Song" showcase their high-school-meets-high-art approach, putting the art of the well-crafted pop song first and backing it with sass and style. Fronted by an acclaimed fiction writer and a classical composer turned rock bassist, Tennis Pro declares that Happy is indeed the New Sad with a handful of 2-minute pop/punk gems overflowing with the band's quirky sincerity. Produced by The A-Team.
11-track debut on Cake Records (in partnership with B-SIDE Records).
Tennis Pro: Phil Peterson (vocals, various instruments); David Drury (vocals, guitar); Sean Lowry (drums).

Cassie's Junior Varsity Make Out Squad CD (2007)
Tennis Pro discography Seattle preppy pop punks Tennis Pro take a swing at some lofty predecessors on their new disc, Cassie's Junior Varsity Make-Out Squad. Elements of Weezer, the Beach Boys, and Fountains of Wayne ("Taking Your Mom Home Tonight," the least inspired concept of the bunch) get served snotty attitude, sweet keyboard licks, and subtle distortion as the Pro turn out a few ace power-pop tracks in the process. Indie-boy irony also finds a home here and works best when it's more clever than clumsy. "We Put the Punk in the Punctuation" is one of Cassie's more imaginative offerings, with the addition of both a horn section and such droll plays on words as "I'm planting kisses on your sweet ellipses." As the album moves along, Tennis Pro develop an increasing proclivity toward experimentation, unraveling an otherwise straightforward pop structure ...
