Kathryn Tingey CD discography Kathryn Tingey, mostly known as Kat Tingey, started playing the guitar in 1999. She has always been musical, but it was like she found a part of her that had been missing when she picked up the guitar. She wanted to accompany herself and write her own music and the guitar was a perfect tool. Attending Utah State University helped her hone her skills as she earned a BA in Music; Guitar Performance.
