Perfect Plot Line CD (2005)
Tripper discography Described as "blending edgy guitars and great melodies with storytelling lyrics," Tripper continues to establish itself as one of the top independent bands in the modern rock scene.
The Detroit-based band got its start in April 1999 when Frank Buscemi (vocals/guitars/harmonica) and Steve Marvicsin (guitars/vocals) both appearing as solo/acoustic artists performed on the Gentle Friday stage at Central Michigan University. The two began performing together almost immediately, finding similar interests and direction. Ken Thomas (drums/ percussion/ vocals), Aaron Berch (keyboards/ vocals) and Rob Carr (bass/vocals) were later recruited to round out the lineup.
The band has performed on some of the Midwest's most historical and well-known venues, while developing a solid fan base.
Tripper's third album -Perfect Plot Line - was released in Sept. 2005. The five-song EP is a hard-hitting mix of energetic rock and solid melodies.
Perfect Plot Line follows up the highly successful Yesterday, Friday & Today released June 2002 with tracks from the album featured on commercial radio in Detroit (89X; 96.
3 WDVD) three months before recording was completed. The record put Tripper on the map with radio programmers and industry folks. In addition, the CD's first track, "Clearly Mistaken" was featured on three compilations (Atlanta, GA; New York; and Melbourne, Australia).
Since that time, Tripper songs were downloaded more than 30,000 times, including several chartings on Radio Wazee and MP3 . Tripper was also named one of the "best unsigned bands" on MP3 .
The band has worked with several national acts including the Gin Blossoms, Seven Mary Three, Shurman, Greenwheel, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, Foghat, and Foreigner.
