Hee Haw Collection - Starring Johnny Cash DVD (1973)
Hee Haw music CDs Since its beginnings in the summer of 1969, Hee Haw has been entertaining audiences with its down-home brand of good country fun. The good people of Kornfield County are back in the second volume of this collection, and they brought some friends with them they'd like you to meet! Johnny Cash guest stars, playing the old favorites "Big River" and "City of New Orleans," among others. Jean Shepard of Grand Ole Opry fame also visits the gang, as well as The Andy Griffith Show's George "Goober" Lindsey! Plus, of course, all the antics and favorite skits that made Hee Haw a favorite for so many years, like Minnie Pearl's schoolhouse and jokes from the cornfield.
The whole gang is back, this time with very special guest Johnny Cash. The "man in black" covers familiar territory with one of his old favorites, "Big River," as well as the ever popular "City of New Orleans." Grand Ole Opry star Jean Shepard revisits her two honky-tonkin' hits from 1973, "Slippin' Away" and "Come On Phone." Andy Griffith Show's regular George "Goober" Lindsey sings, swings, and dances his way through the good old jug-band tune "Mountain Dew."

Hee Haw Collection DVD (2005)
Hee Haw discography Corny jokes and the best performers country music had to offer were the staples of this long-running show, a more rural take on the sketch comedy of Rowan & Martin's LAUGH-IN. Hosted by country music legends Buck Owens and Roy Clark, the show was in syndication for over 20 years after being dropped by CBS in 1971, and maintained its popularity through its good-natured, consciously hokey one-liners. Tammy Wynette's appearance in this episode takes place shortly after her marriage to the great George Jones, when the country music power couple reigned supreme. The First Lady of Country delivers a moving rendition of her trademark number, "Stand by Your Man," after which George takes over for a rowdy version of his number 1 hit, "White Lightin'." Then, "Hillbilly Heartthrob" Faron Young is joined by a full swing band and three fiddles as he plays his much-loved 1968 hit "She Went a Little Bit Farther." Also included is an exclusive interview with Roy Clark, where audiences are dished up all the HEE HAW gossip!
The whole gang is back again! Featured are Tammy Wynette, George ...
