Kiss You Where? I Miss You CD (2001)
Alex Harris CD discography One-time Chi-Lites member Anthony Watson returned to the music world in 2001 after many years of inactivity, offering Kiss You Where? I Miss You, a full-length album of new songs co-written by the R&B/soul singer himself. Amherst Records re-released the album in early 2002, several months after its original release, with new artwork and the addition of a bonus track, "Solid Love Affair," perhaps Watson's best-known song. The addition of this bonus tracks adds much to the album, concluding the album with a testament to Watson's talents. The other 12 songs on the album are similarly impressive, though not nearly in touch with contemporary sounds as you might hope; after all, the neo-soul renaissance and hip-hop duets featuring the likes of Ja Rule and J.Lo characterized the early-'00s soul scene, not the classic '60s/'70s soul sound found on Watson's album. Nonetheless, those who appreciate classic '60s/'70s soul should no doubt find much to enjoy here, even if the album does feel a little out ...
