Familiar melodies come back like old friends, and a slightly over-resonant production makes André Rieu's sound seem nostalgic, old-world and comfortable. There is nothing heavy or depressing here, and what's wrong with a little lightness every once and a while? Many of the works are arranged by Rieu, some with orchestral accompaniments and others with just piano.
