Mark Watrous albums Released to coincide with his son's second birthday, Brendan Benson's 2012 album What Kind of World is the singer/songwriter's fifth studio effort and first for his own record label, Readymade, which Benson officially launched in 2011 and first used on his Wellfed Boys demos from the '90s. Recorded in Nashville, the follow-up to 2009's My Old, Familiar Friend once again showcases the Raconteurs member's unique brand of melodic pop and guitar-based rock.
