Introducing Althea Hewitt CD (2008)
Althea Hewitt CD discography Dancehall reggae singer Althea Hewitt makes her full-length debut with a crisp, slick selection of ballads and dance tunes. A 26-year-old Jamaican with a full-bodied voice and confident delivery, Hewitt is equally at ease with sharp political material like "Crime Scene" and more traditional ballads like the exquisite, jazz-tinged "Love That A Woman Should Give To A Man," which has the same retro vibe and old-school sound of a Jamaican Amy Winehouse or Duffy. (An alternate mix at album's end quotes Barbara Mason's 1965 soul classic "Yes, I'm Ready.") INTRODUCING ALTHEA HEWITT is full of such fine, self-assured gems.
Arranger: John Alexander.
Personnel: Althea Hewitt (background vocals); Dwight Pinkney (guitar, keyboards, percussion); David Hale Associates, Winston "Bo Peep" Bowen (guitar); Simone Kenny, Ian Hird (flute); Romeo Palmer, Andrew Palmer (horns); Grub Cooper (keyboards, bass instrument, drum, background vocals); John Alexander (keyboards, drum, background vocals); Robert Lyn, Sidney Thorpe, Donovan Palmer (keyboards); Courtney Panton, Danny "Axeman" Thompson, Keith Francis, Lloyd Parks (bass instrument); Sly Dunbar (drum); Anthony Watson (percussion); Boris Gardiner (background vocals).

Spice in Your Life CD (2006)
Althea Hewitt CD discography The third album from Richie Spice makes a couple of things very clear. First, he's a fine singer and an even better songwriter, capable of dropping completely convincing dancehall, hip hop and roots-and-culture material without seeming to break a sweat. Second, he needs someone to give him some discipline in the studio and steer him clear of such waste-of-time touches as chest-beating intros (and outros) and exploitative recordings of adorable children talking about their career plans ...
