Phoebe CD (2010)
Chris Lambert discography Phoebe is the 4th self-released album by Chris Lambert since 2007. Recorded independently in his home studio, Phoebe marks the start of a significant change in sound. Over layers of electronic texturing, folk instruments now mingle with dirty electric guitars, punchy drums and vintage keyboards. In a modern update of Phil Spector's classic "Wall of Sound" recording technique, tracks are saturated with stacks of beeping & gurgling synthesizers, and topped off with memorable and melodic folk-pop tunes.

Two Guns CD (2008)
Chris Lambert CD discography Two Guns is an acoustic-driven song cycle littered with ear-pleasing aural confections. Lambert's ambitious guitar ballads are fleshed over with organ, violin, piano, bells, musical saw, mandolin, cello, xylophone, synthesizer, harmonica, glockenspiel, and many random household objects (all of which are played by him). If you think that's slightly impressive, a first glance at the lyrical content of songs like The Dirt (a stiff and static guy/who said goodbye to life/put down the gun, and hit the dirt) and the complex rhyme schemes present throughout the album are enough to set any English professor on a wit-fomenting analytical endeavor.
A far cry from his pop/rock-tinged past, it's apparent that Chris Lambert has grown up. That's not to say that he's left his ...

Great Dipso Drought CD (2009)
Chris Lambert albums An indie/folk concept album that tells the story of Julian, a boy abandoned by his alcoholic parents. Even after seeing the destruction alcohol wrought on his family, Julian takes the same road. His path leads him into a drunken delirium in which he one day sees -- or thinks he sees -- God, who tells him to climb to the top of Grandfather Mountain and "pour his bottles out," lest he end up like his parents. ...

Filthy Habits CD (2011)
Chris Lambert CD discography On their third album, Filthy Habits, Farewell to Freeway continue to stampede through emotional peaks and valleys with their mix of metalcore and melodic hardcore. Reminiscent of fellow Ontario natives (and Victory labelmates) Grade, the band weaves melody and menace together in equal parts to create a sound that constantly tries to get its hooks into you, dragging the listener kicking and screaming onto a roller coaster of heavy breakdowns and huge choruses. What's surprising about ...

Definitions CD (2008)
Chris Lambert albums Canadian metal quintet Farewell to Freeway mix hardcore, screamo, alternative, and progressive strains of metal with tight instrumental work and vocal interplay. Their unique hybrid is summed up on the band's debut full length, DEFINITIONS. In the way they shift from ferocious riffing and gruff, demonic-sounding vocals to soaring, harmony-laden melodic choruses, Farewell to Freeway can sometimes sound like different bands within the same song, but it's that very eclecticism that makes them appealing. DEFINITIONS is ...
