An Intimate Universe (a phrase that hints at the sounds within) Melbourne band Wellyn have inhabited the fringes of the city's live scene off and on for the past six years. The album features a gigantic array of voices including Dan Kelly, Ollie Brown (Art of Fighting), Andrew Coates, Danny Griffith (SubAudible Hum), Ned Collette, and Chris Altmann (The Vandas). A total of 27 musicians contributed to the album. Wellyn's epic ideas, crafted melodies, funereal leanings, gloomy tendencies, and sparkling arrangements slowly unfolded outwards and into layer upon layer of music and month upon month of studio time.
