Nikki played basketball for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders and was a member of the 1993 National Championship team with teammate Sheryl Swoopes. Nikki wrote the theme song for the National Championship team "We Can Make It Happen" which became a local hit. While at Texas Tech she recorded and published a short album of self-penned tunes that received local air play and had great sales. Nikki plays guitar and piano. She won the Texas Tech Songwriter's Award in 1994 and the Lubbock Hall Search Competition. ...
