Little Tin Box music CDs "A voyage into a human soul via electronica."-http:// mp3 /littletinbox Combining the songwriting talents of Charles Sadler and the vocal talents of Kelly Galvin, Little Tin Box brings their messages across through a blending of both progressive electronica and classical/adult contemporary. Their musical influences which include Bach and Peter Murphy reveal this crossing. Even with this unique contrast, Little Tin Box's music is best categorized as darkwave romantic electronica. Although this Minneapolis-St. Paul based duo has only been in existence for the past eight months, they have already recorded an entire album at Integral Studio. Object~Subject , their first album, was co-produced and engineered by Ev (12Rods). Little Tin Box has also performed at several venues in the Twin Cities area, including the newly established Sursumcorda and at the Stone Arch Festival for the Arts. They have also had success on the mp3 charts, with their songs "Sacred," "DLN" and "Broken Wings" all ranking high on the Minnesota electronica charts. "Sacred" in addition had been the top ranking song on the national electronica charts and continues to rank high on these charts. Little Tin Box was formed eight months ago after Kelly filled in for Charles' previous singer. As Kelly herself said, "[Charles] needed a singer and I had long wanted a band. I filled in for his singer one night and at that point Little Tin Box was birthed." After their first successful performance, their work together continued and resulted in even more performances and the recording of Object~Subject. The studio experience, like the duo's first performance, proved to be even better than they initially expected. Commenting on his co-production work with Ev, Charles states "Down to the last letter, he's very thorough. All the songs sounded exactly exactly how I imagined them to sound, it's like how it was in my head." The music of Little Tin Box is notable for more than just its mix of progressive electronica and classical/adult contemporary. Lyrically, it seeks to take the boundaries of what's acceptable and not acceptable in pop culture and lightly touches on the areas that lie just underneath. The songs are a telling of events that happen to everyday people. They represent the period of strife that Charles experienced and what he believes most everyone turns to face.
