Bad Dreams CD (1976)
Eddie Baird CD discography First time on CD for this 1976 album from the British Folk/Prog outfit. The album achieved critical acclaim and the band continued recording and playing for two years after its release. Certain tracks from the album became standards in the live set including 'Give Me A Chance' and 'Call It A Night'. The Amazing Blondel continual touring in the '70s and became established in the British live scene with a large fan base and became one of the underground "cult" bands. Their zany and unique sound and performance live appealed across the folk scene and since this album has never been released on CD it will be sought out by all Amazing Blondel and Folk fans alike. Amazing Elsie Emerald CD (2010)
Eddie Baird albums The Island Years....AMAZING BLONDEL was formed by John Gladwin and Terry Wincott after the break-up of too-loud rock band Methusala. They were joined by a talented guitarist Eddie Baird and Amazing Blondel were recommended by the members of the band Free to Island boss Chris Blackwell. After signing to Island Records and Artists, Amazing Blondel quickly produced three albums (Evensong,Fantasia Lindum,England)with the above line-up and undertook a series of intensive international and national tours to promote them. With the demise of John Gladwin the band continued as a duo and released 5 other albums before being reunited once again to record their comeback album 'Restoration' in the early nineties. With its release and a series of tours across the UK & Europe, John decided to call it a day once more and Blondel carried on as a duo. Sunshine and Showers is the first release of the band in some 10 years and is sure to be of interest to its loyal following aswell as those who search the music world for something a little different from the 'Norm'
