"My perception and grasp of life and reality is always spiritual and emotional. This is what I portray through all of my songs. I don't always set out to write this way, it just comes out like that, and then I give it some shape and form". Along the way, inspiration has been sourced from many different areas, including her love and respect for singer/songwriters such as - Ricky Lee Jones, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Jeff Buckley, Heather Nova...........and so many more that are all equally inspiring. The past five years has been an important time of consolidating an individual songwriting and vocal style, which has been influenced by many musical ventures. Including her time with rollicking band - A Big Fat Country. Quite different, original and just damn good fun, with a tongue-in-cheek take on country music.
