This series, premiering on ABC in 1969, is about life at a multiracial Los Angeles high school, focusing on socially relevant issues. Created by James L. Brooks (THE SIMPSONS) in the late 1960s, ROOM 222 stars Lloyd Haynes as Pete Dixon, an idealistic high school teacher who helps mentor students through a variety of adolescent trials. Dixon helps his teens cope with the issues of the day (such as the Vietnam War) as well as traditional teen problems, including young love and strained parental relations.
