Indie director Dave Markey (1991: THE YEAR PUNK BROKE) created this satirically melodramatic expose of the search for musical fame in 1984 with the help of a handful of several L.A. underground rock stars (Steve and Jeff McDonald of Redd Kross, Dez Cadena of Black Flag). Hilary Rubens, Jennifer Schwartz, and Janet Housden portray Bunny, Kitty, and Patch, three runaways who form The Lovedolls, an all-girl rock band.
