The play itself features two brothers, Lincoln and Booth, who are struggling to get by and navigate a host of family secrets that are just now coming to light. The film traces her development as a writer, beginning with her years at Hampshire College, where she was a protegee of James Baldwin, to her present incarnation as an Obie and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright.
