Ben Lee Biography
At the ripe old age of 13, Australian singer-songwriter Artist joined the garage-grunge band Noise Addict, who quickly attracted the patronage of both Mike D. from the Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore. Some critically acclaimed recordings and well-received live shows followed, but the young band dissolved in the mid-1990s. Lee had already begun his solo career while in the band, releasing charming recordings of his intelligent, lo-fi acoustic pop. As he has continued his solo trajectory, Lee has experimented with a variety of pop forms while maintaining the literate, down-to-earth tunefulness of his earliest bedroom tapes.
