Brutal Truth Biography
Brutal Truth music CDs Originally formed in 1990 as a side project for former Anthrax guitarist Dan Lilker, Artist quickly became a major force on the American grindcore scene. Artist's manic sound mixes elements of death metal and grind with occasional outbursts of New York-style hardcore and outright noise. The band gained some notoriety for their Guinness Book of World Records title for shortest music video--for "Collateral Damage," which lasts less than three seconds. Artist broke up in 1999, but reformed in 2006, touring and releasing its first new material in nearly 10 years.
