Drummer Johnny Hott's style has a military beat, appropriate to the band's historical, Southern bent. Instantly likable pop, strong vocals, and beautiful melodies made it a wonder this two-man band didn't explode during the late '80s. Includes alternate takes of three album tracks, a pair of unreleased gems ('While You Sleep' & 'Barn Burning'), a heart-rending cover of the blues standard 'Corinna, Corinna,' & the rousing 'I'll Treat You Right Someday.' Also included are eight live performances recorded at beloved Hollywood dive Raji's.

The chorus to "Sun Gone Down" holds up against any great hook, from Nick Lowe to Tommy James. 2004.
