MOON IS THE NEW EARTH is the debut album by Artist, a retro-feeling indie rock trio from Boulder, Colorado, born of an apparent love of Led Zeppelin, the Who, and other classic rock stalwarts. Being a trio with a penchant for retro rock, invariably Artist have garnered many comparisons to Cream, an easy -- and thoroughly lazy -- reference. Highlights include the powerful "Laughing in the Streets." MOON IS THE NEW EARTH is available as a digital download, a standard CD, and a vinyl LP. The heavy, bluesy rock of these 12 songs owes much to the likes of the Black Crowes and My Morning Jacket.
