THE OCEAN AND THE SUN is a tightly wrapped ball of musical enigma, employing classically spiraling guitar figures, polyrhythmic drumming, and subtle electronic beats and textures to evoke the natural world. It seems right for a band that has appropriated the mystery and pomp of prog rock, and would be a little off-putting if they weren't so good at what they do. Personnel: Jessica McWhirter (vocals).
