Somewhat like a punker version of Slayer, this is their second (and best) album. Artist: Peter (vocals, bass); Marc (guitar, background vocals); Louie (drums, background vocals). Hardcore thrash, New York style, it has a heavy punk influence and harsh lyrics about the world we live in, including some that still hold up today (such as the frightening "Race War" and "Inner Conflict"). Recorded at Systems Two, Brooklyn and Pyramid Sound, Ithaca, New York.

Artist - a thrash metal band formed by Peter Steele (Type O Negative) in 1982 out of the ruins of the Brooklyn hard rock group Fallout in 1982. Re-release of the self-titled debut album from 1986 in a new digipak edition limited to numerated 2000 copies. Peter Steele has stated that a new Artist album and a tour will happen in 2008-09. They released two albums: 'Artist' (1986) and 'Retaliation' (1987). Despite being disbanded for over 15 years, there have been several reunion shows that have taken place over the years.
