NOFX Biography
Artist formed in 1983, but these goofy California punk rockers didn't make their first full-length album until 1988, when Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz offered to record the band. More musically adventurous than many of their peers, Artist and their humorous hardcore started to win over a sizable audience with 1990's RIBBED. From this point, the group (led by Fat Wreck Chords owner Fat Mike) hit a stride of entertaining albums. Fat Wreck Chords continues to put out releases by Artist and other punk acts.
