T-Nutty's largely electronic beats aren't "just-press-play" minimalism like so many of his peers, but fully realized mutations of sound that are as interesting on their own as the raps above them. The tension between the grim starkness of T-Nutty's lyrical vision and the oddball soundscapes percolating underneath makes Flowmastermouth a difficult album to parse at times, but a little effort reveals it to be a challenging yet entertaining listen. Particular highlights include the chattering steel-drum-like sound underpinning "After Tonite," and the fiercely delivered slow burner "Black Armor." ~ Stewart Mason

As the title suggests, The Nutt Factor Project is mostly a posse record, with T-Nutty holding court above it all, but with most of the rhymes being passed around to his friends and relations. The Bay Area rapper/producer's fingerprints are all over this record, especially in his trademark, largely electronic beats, which wriggle and mutate underneath the fiery, explosive raps in such a way that the listener might find himself tuning out the rhymes just to follow odd noises -- check
